Visited Madeline a couple times in the NICU and she continues to do well. Erica even breastfed her briefly a couple times. (Breastfeeding is very hard work for babies and she tires out easily). We're always amazed to see how much bigger Maddie is than her sister. Even a half pound makes a huge difference. The NICU staff is feeding her a ton of food to make her healthy and she seems to be outpacing Liz.
Elizabeth had some tummy time today. I laid out a blanket to swaddle her and Cody wandered over and laid down right on top of it. He looked at me when I started to laugh as if to say, "What? This isn't for me?" Cody always seems very concerned for Liz when she begins to fuss or cry, it's so adorable.
Liz tried to eat my finger. I took a picture to prove it! We also broke out the tub and gave Elizabeth her very first bath time. Believe me, she was none too thrilled about it. She even got to try out one of the cute towels. Erica and I have a fondness for things with little ears on them. I'm sure you'll understand when you see the picture.
We have a pediatrician appointment tomorrow morning and then I am going in to work afterward for a half day. Best to ease back into these things. Work has been fantastic about time off since the girls were born and I am looking forward to showing off pictures and telling stories from the best week of our lives.
Keep in mind that I'll be uploading photos whenever I can, so be sure to check the Flickr album even if I haven't gotten around to a blog post. Pictures speak a thousand words anyway. I'm off to get some much needed sleep.

I am so glad the girls are doing well. I am praying Maddie will be able to come home in time for Thanksgiving.
